The Eurogas Annual Conference ‘Moving forward to decarbonisation‘ will take place on 14 June 2022 in Brussels (14:30-17:45 CET) at Sofitel Brussels Europe (1, Place Jourdan – 1040 Brussels) and online.

The conference will look to address, the challenges for the energy sector to reduce emissions by at least 55% by 2030 and deliver a climate-neutral EU by 2050, in the context of the publication of the Fit for 55 package and the legislative package around gas and buildings.
During the conference, three panels will focus on decarbonisation of maritime transport, buildings and industry.
Youth and research will also be highlighted by a presentation by volunteer students on Project Phoenix developing a hydrogen fuel cell aircraft.
Finally, a focus on the sectoral social dialogue will be given through the presentation of the preliminary findings of the EC funded study on ‘Challenges and opportunities for employment in the gas sector in the context of the European Energy Transition’, coordinated by the European unions and Eurogas.
The in-person conference event will be followed by a post-event networking.
